Boo to torn finger nails! It keeps getting caught and I’m afraid it’s going to tear… and nail glue isn’t enough. It’s a pretty quick fix though, and all you need is:
- a pair of scissors
- nail glue
- a nail file
- clear polish
- and a teabag!

- Remove all polish and start with a clean nail
- Cut a patch from the teabag and glue it over the tear
- Let the glue dry completely and file your nail smooth
- Apply a coat of clear polish
Just like new!

Ha-ha! It’s almost painful to look at those pictures!
I used to hate my hair. I could never make it look okay unless I took a bunch of time to blow dry it sorta-straight and I hate blow drying my hair (and even then I didn’t love it). I spent hours researching and trying anti-frizz products and tricks – but nothing worked… my hair was frizzy and thick and never looked right…
…UNTIL NOW! (well, until recently) There are three reasons why I love my hair now – and if you have frizzy hair that you don’t want to waste time styling, I’m happy to share them with you:

After Tuesday’s post, I had a lot of people ask me if I was a fan of Target. Why, yes! What made you think that?
However, a recent trip might be my favorite trip to date. Look at all the cute stuff I scored:
Have a nice weekend everyone!
I’m wearing a new dress today and I just realized I completely forgot to shave one of my legs. One leg is totally smooth and the other… um… is not.
Since smooth (and not-so-smooth) legs are on my mind, I thought I’d share my tips for smooth legs. Some people are blessed with legs that they only need to drag a razor across to make beautifully smooth. Others (like me) need every trick in the book to make sure legs don’t turn red and bumpy (and hidden behind pants… and the beach).
Here are my tips:

It was a rainy weekend in San Diego this weekend and I took advantage and got a pedicure (and a manicure and an eyebrow wax). During my pedicure, I remembered my all-time favorite tip… my I-need-to-start-a-blog-to-share-tips-like-this tip… I love this tip.
If you get ticklish when the technician scrubs your feet, try this: pinch the area at the top of your nose (where your glasses would rest). It’s an acupressure technique that minimizes the tickle.
I can’t tell you how many women I’ve share this with in the nail salon who exclaim (with their fingers pinching the tops of their noses) “OH MY GOD! This is amazing!” It’s worked for a ton of people at the nail salon and I hope it works for you too!

You know those little packages of facial blotting papers? Pretty neat, huh? Problem is, I usually end up using about TEN because they’re so small. The seat protectors in public restrooms are made from a very similar material and do a wonderful job of removing the shine without removing your make-up!
This is a great trick since most offices and restaurants (basically anywhere you might have a meeting) have them and it only takes a minute to remove the shine!

I have pretty much been wearing this since I got it… I wear it to walk Joe, I wear it to bed, I’ve even worn it to work:

Can you tell it’s my new favorite shirt? I must immediately return to the little boy’s section at Target and buy a couple more…
